These pics are from Facebook's Castle Age game; loved the looks (& some of the names).... this belongs to them I'm just borrowing them for my fic... no copywright infringement intended ^_^
Main Characters (more will be added soon):
---- Celesta; Mage, healer
---- Aurora; Earthen powers
----Leena; Warlock
----Jader; Warrior
---Strider; Assassin, rogue
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Mage! Your presence is requested by the Duke!" A tall, blond guard yelled to her
Taking a deep breath she gathered her belongings and cautiously walked into the tall, stone structure before her. The guards walking around the castle barely noticed her presence as she walked quickly to where she'd been summoned. Taking a deep breath once more, she dutifully knocked on the door to the Duke's chambers.
"Mage we require your assistance. There is a young rogue who is in dire need of your powers. Currently he is in the Eigart Forest awaiting the help we are sending him. You must go at once." The Duke quickly informed her, not even bothering to look in her eyes or even in her direction
"As you wish, Duke." She quietly replied
"Before you go my guards will give you some supplies needed for your long journey. You will leave at first light as the journey there is long." The Duke continued
"Duke, what am I to do once I have done all I can for this Rogue?" She questioned
"You will go with him on his journeys. The mission he is on is of great importance, Mage. No doubt he will require your powers more than once. Assist him as you would me. Back to your quarters! My guards will bring you the supplies." The Duke commanded
After getting up she bowed dutifully and retreated to her quarters. She had long ago proven not only the strength of her powers but her worth as well to not only the Duke himself but their Prince and King. She had been taken under the King's wing when she was a child and raised up, and trained by the best Mages the King kept by his side, after unknowingly helping the young Prince after an accident.
She packed lightly, remembering the Duke's words, before heading down to have dinner. The King himself requested she eat with his family and every night she was home she obliged him. By the time she returned to her quarters the supplies the Duke promised her had been delivered. She was leaving on the morrow and needed to rest for the long journey.
