**LILIA'S POV**

I was being release from the hospital today. Released into Leland's care. I didn't know much about him but he had been raising my baby the last 3 months. Apparently he had brought me in to the ER when I was stabbed. Could I trust this guy? Could I trust any of the people in his family? More importantly..... could they keep me safe from them?

"Miss? The doctor will be here in about 3 minutes to sign your release papers. You can begin getting dressed any time." This short nurse stated as she came in to my room to check my vitals one last time

As she was doing that, Leland arrived with several people in tow. They all gave me big smiles and asked how I was feeling. I gave them a small smile. The doctor came in and told Leland all he needed to know about my recovery. They didn't bring the baby with them but I guess it was for the best. The blond woman, who I was told was Beth, said that she had brought some clothes that she thought I'd fit. I quietly thanked her as I slowly made my way into the bathroom to change.

I took my time getting dressed. Partly because I was still a wee bit sore. Partly because I was being released into the custody of strangers. The whole pack thing made me nervous. Finally I was ready and slowly walked out of the bathroom. The doctor was handing Leland all my meds and last minute discharge instructions. He turned to look at me and asked if I was ready to go. All I could really do was shrug.

I followed him out to a dark blue SUV with the rest of them following me. Beth got in the drivers seat, the man with long blond hair slid in the passenger seat. I followed Leland into the backseat with the other man sliding in next to me. In effect I was sandwhiched in between Leland and the other guy and it made me feel a bit claustrophobic. Like I was trapped. I never liked that feeling.

We drove for maybe half an hour up to this building that said "Da Kine Bail Bonds" on the outside. Was I being arrested?! Not knowing what else to do, I simply followed everyone else inside. The office was nice. Lots of plants everywhere and the couches and chairs were a brown leather. After walking in, I just kind of stood in the middle of the room, probably looking incredibly stupid, unsure of what to do.

"Youngblood! Baby Lyssa! Come officially meet Lilia." The older, blond man called out loudly making me jump nearly out of my skin

"You ok, sweetie?" Beth asked

I simply nodded as the people the blond man had called for appeared. Both gave me a warm smile but I just stared at them.

"Lilia, this is my brother from another mother Tim, or Youngblood as most of us call him. This beautiful young lady is my daughter Lyssa. Guys this is Lilia." The blond man stated, making the formal introductions

"It's nice to finally meet you!" Lyssa stated, making me nod at her

The one I now knew as Youngblood just stared a hole through me. It made me incredibly nervous. Leland tugged on my arm so I followed him to one of the couches while everyone sort of dispersed. Upon sitting down, he pointed out the blond man as his dad, Dog, Beth as his step-mother, and the other guy as his brother Duane Lee, or DL. I just nodded again and gave him a small smile.

They eventually went back to whatever they were doing before we arrived. I just stayed sitting on the couch observing my surroundings. It made me wonder what these people did for a living as they received probably more than a hundred phone calls. Sometime later the tall, silver-headed man sat down next to me. My heart rate began to speed up and I was feeling very nervous. And extremely vulnerable at the moment.

"You're very quiet." He quietly stated, looking at me with an intensity I'd never seen un-angry before

I shrugged before jumping as he placed his arm over the back of the couch.

"And extremely skittish. What happened to you? Why are you in Hawaii?!" He asked with a soft tone

Immediately I looked away. If I told anyone, I was assured that I would die. Now with having the baby I can't just leave her like that. He leaned in closer to me which got me shaking slightly.

"I know that something bad happened to you, Lilia. I just want to help you." He all but whispered

I bit my lip as I looked anywhere but him. How much did this man know about me?! Could I trust these people with my secrets? Would they really protect me?! Could they protect me? Sighing heavily I could feel his eyes on me. Suddenly he was being called somewhere else. He got up and I took the chance to look up at him. He was standing there, looking at me, and giving me a warm, friendly smile. I just stared like an idiot and watched him walk away.
