Sept. 21st bakersfield, ca. Uproar festival! I saw Stone Sour and they were hilarious! Corey was giving his all because his family was present(I saw his mom and other family in the crowd! :]) He kept licking the guitarist bald head and trying to nibble at his ear. Then he kind of spooned him, and Jim Root walked up behind Corey and spooned him, which made a threesome-like awesomeness! I wish I took a picture, but I was drooling too much to remember to take one lmao. I was about ten feet away from the stage, so I got to say hello to Roy after their set and saw Corey's wife, mom, family, and others. I know this is all jumbled up, but so much happened that night, I can't find the words to type! I'll update this in order once I fully remember everything that happened that night and all the people I got to meet (Roy of Stone Sour, Valary Sanders (M. Shadows Wife), the Berry brothers(or one of them lmao), static-x's ex bassist, Izzy Hale, and I met them all without going backstage!) More hilarious stories about this concert to come, I promise!

!!!! I'm really jealous. See nobody ever comes to Mississippi and on the rare occasion that they do (When Good Charlotte, Avenged Sevenfold came), something screwed up happens and I can't go. I know its sad that I haven't been to my first concert yet... T_T Don't feel bad, no really good bands have come to Alabama in a while either. It's all this country and Justin Bieber crap. But my city usually has a huge 3 day concert called Big Spring Jam, and when I was 5 Alice Cooper was one of the performers. The entire time I was complaining to my dad how tired I was, and that the music sucked, and that I wanted to go home. I think my present day self would have smacked my younger self back then. As Cinderella once said, "You don't know what you got, till it's gone." ...yeah no shit...

I LOVE these stories!
I think my most awesome one happened during Alice Cooper's "Dirty Diamonds" tour - it was the year of Hurricane Katrina, and Alice's band, which at that time was Eric Singer, Damon Johnson, Chuck Garric, and Ryan Roxie, decided to stay over for a few days after the Indianapolis show to do a few little benefit concerts for the victims. My friends and I are just as much a fan of the band as Alice himself, so we were IN.
Saw the show, had a great time, got to meet the band for a few seconds and get stuff signed after the show. Now, my girlfriend and I have MAJOR crushes on Ryan Roxie, so we were proud to get through the line without making morons of ourselves. We go back to our room, sit a bit, then we all decide we'd head back downstairs and see what we see. Open the door...there's Ryan. Right there. Just happened to be walking by when we opened the door.
"Hey, you got a cup?" Just...walks into our hotel room, gets one of our Holiday Inn cups, talking something about making a cocktail...we can't remember what he said, we were just kinda in shock...smiles real big and off he goes.
Since then we've taken to calling him Hurricane Roxie. He blew in, left destruction in his wake, then left.
Something hilarious recently happened to a another friend of mine during the Coop/Zombie tour. She bought a VIP Cooper ticket, so she got to go backstage and meet him. She'd gotten an e-mail a few days before telling her she'd been chosen to join Alice onstage, so I promised I'd get some pics for her of whatever it was. Turned out she got help throw the balloons during "School's Out". Got some great pics (I was second row..right at Joey Jordison's feet during the Murderdolls set, WHOHOOOO!)
Next morning we're getting texts from friends asking us if it was true Ke$ha was at the show. My friends and I are all KISS/Zombie/Coop fans, mainly the old school stuff, and being all unhip, had no freakin CLUE who the heck Ke$ha was. (I've since found out. How I want my ignorance back.) We all head back home the next morning, look at the Nashville news paper...sure enough, she was there, throwing out the balloons with my friend! So I e-mail her with the news, and her response was "OHHHHHHHH! THAT'S why she got pissed when I asked her if she'd won a contest or something!"
I'm getting her a shirt made that says "Ke$ha Hates Me."
