Worst case scenerio has happened, and we will be evacuating - just not sure when. There's talk maybe it will begin tomorrow, or may be later in the week. The Mississippi has reached record highs and it just won't stop fucking RAINING.
Please keep my family and my little hometown in your prayers. This is the hardest thing I've ever had to do.

Keep Mokie and Radio. Like I said, just follow them, cause kitties don't like water. <3
All kidding/cutesy stuff aside-- Seriously, be safe, mmmkay? Or else I'll be sad. I don't wanna be sad. *huggles*

WHOOHOOOOOO! I'M STILL HERE AND STILL DRY!!
I'm pretty sure ya'll heard on the news about the big floodway they blew up - the last blast they did Thursday dropped us two feet!! We still got alot of water (we're actually half a foot above the highest recorded river stage ever - didn't want to make history THAT way) but it's not going to get to the top of our levee system! We've had a TON of volunteers buildling our levees up, and if they hold (which right now they all look strong) we'll be in the clear!
Don't want to exhale too soon as so much can happen...but in 1937, the river stages reached 47.9 (we're at 48.3 right now..yikes..but original forecast was 51.7 and we were to evacuate at 49' so yaaaaah!). One whole town in my county flooded then, and my town was an island. As of right now, a handful of folks have lost their homes, which isn't good, but the majority of the county is saved - nowhere near the devastation we had in '37. (Now just hold, levees! Don't make me sorry I bragged on you!)
Thanks everyone for there positive thoughs, and the loaning of Mokie and Radio. They helped.

Glad you are ok. Man...I need to actually look around on the board instead of staying signed in all the time. The stuff I miss...
